WOL is two things: the World Ocean League is a first Web 3.0 ocean conservation community, while the Ocean Super League is a coopetition platform. Think of it as of an iceberg: WOL Community is the base, the much bigger, invisible foundation, while OSL is the visible part. Both are equally important in our vision of tackling the ocean crisis.

THE LAST FRONTIER
While it is true that every little action can make a difference, in this second year of the UN ocean decade, and with very challenging goals to be reached by the year of 2030 we need to think bigger, we need to do more. We need to work smarter. And we need to work together. So we made the change that we wanted to see. We are the first environmental league of team players, including you, to create hope and solutions for global challenges. We saw a plethora of unmet goals for the ocean and, in turn, crafted a collaborative approach for the next generation of conservation tactics. Our goal is to bridge the gap between solution ideation and real-world solutions.World Ocean League views our oceans as the last frontier and, rather than traveling to Mars, we actively chose to solve problems here and now. With endless passion and determination, WOL was formed as a collective of people from all walks of life. We come together as a community, as creators and innovators, as a league to harness the power of a winning mentality via Creators, Innovators, and our unstoppable Ocean Super League.
FAQSWE FORMED A LEAGUE - WHY?
World Ocean Leagues was born from a diverse team that came together because of a call to action based on changing the way the world does ocean conservation. All motivated by preserving, protecting, and restoring our ocean, WOL was built off a complex model similar to the multi-billion-dollar sports franchises. Our League and all of the All-Star players create a network through a community unlike anything before, giving us an angle and the momentum to change the face of conservation.WHY OCEAN CONSERVATION?
Our ocean is the last frontier, a vast space of unexplored opportunities that face infinite challenges. WOL is comprised of a team that is personally and professionally motivated to find solutions for those continual challenges, and so we created something unheard of - a new type of conservation company founded on a sports franchise model. We are here to win because fighting for our ocean is a game that we cannot afford to lose.WHO CAN JOIN WOL?

STRATEGIC CHALLENGE
The Ocean is the heart of the planet. Water covers more than two-thirds of the Earth’s surface. Sea plants produce 70% of the oxygen we breathe, and the deep waters are home to wildlife and some of the biggest creatures on earth. The ocean is the largest ecosystem on Earth, it is the planet’s life support system. Oceans generate half of the oxygen we breathe and, at any given moment, they contain more than 97% of the world’s water. Oceans provide at least a sixth of the animal protein people eat. Living oceans absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and reduce climate change impacts. The diversity and productivity of the world’s oceans is a vital interest for humankind.EXPLORE & PROTECT
There was a time where ocean exploration was an extremely courageous vocation and vast territories of the planer remained uncharted. Those who were willing to sail the oceans and tame the power of nature gained all the fame and glory. Except for some deepest parts of the Ocean, we were able to explore and access almost every remote place on Earth and beyond.According to The Pew Trusts, the high seas are vital to life on Earth. With an average depth of more than 4 kilometres (2.5 miles) and a maximum depth of over 10 kilometres (6.2 miles), these waters sustain an array of marine fauna and flora and serve as a throughway for migratory species such as whales, sharks, seabirds, tuna, and sea turtles. Although these areas are remote and have proved difficult to explore, scientists estimate that they represent about 95 per cent of the occupied habitat of Earth and believe there could be millions of undiscovered species beyond national jurisdictionThe health of the ocean is in decline, largely because of increased industrial activity. Even far from shore, the high seas are not immune to the impacts of climate change, plastic pollution, overfishing, shipping, and other threats. The high seas represent 2/3 of our ocean, but only 1% are protected.Today there is less to explore but more and more to protect, but this doesn’t mean the challenge is any less adventurous.
AVDENTURE
UNIQUE LOCATIONS
North Atlantic, South-East Pacific, Iceland, Scotland and Asia those are all most unique eco-systems and iconic locations. But all of them as well as many other regions of our planet, are now under extreme pressure caused by human activity. We travel to most exciting destinations to highlight and showcase the challenges and threats.REAL CHALLENGES
From whale hunting and trans-fishing, to plastic pollution and coral reef protection, we focus on the crucial challenges of our time. Saving the oceans is no longer an optional activity of the few, instead it is a shared responsibility of all, except some of us have unique opportunity to spread the message and inspire others.CALL TO ACTION
According to Ocean Conservation Strategies and the Next Decade of Marine Conservation Philanthropy white paper document by The Center for Ocean Solutions at Stanford University, social pressure and conservation marketing could be a very effective strategy helping ocean conservation efforts. Peer groups can model conservation behavior and stimulate broader adoption of conservation standards. Social networking and conservation marketing are much better known in economic, political, and social sciences circles than in the natural sciences. Properly used, they may be able to enhance the penetration of conservation behaviors into diverse elements of society. They can also be valuable in small group settings, such as in villages, where key social leaders can provide visible agents of change.Football players and celebrities have the reach and following needed to make a lasting change. Working together we can deliver a powerful message and influence millions across the globe to protect our most crucial resources. All hands on deck!
